After a professionally fulfilling and
sometimes adventuresome 40 year career (Deputy Sheriff, Military Officer, FBI Special Agent, Manager of Corporate Security
for a Fortune 100 company, and Private Investigator / Security Consultant), I’ve decided to try something new, something
that I plan to take satisfaction in, and be challenged by, regardless of remunerative considerations. Under certain
circumstances, I will consider offering fee based services. Additionally, I will be offering 'pro bono' services (done
or undertaken for the public good without any payment or compensation). Regarding 'pro bono' work, I am particularly
interested in assisting those impacted by 'crime against person' matters, such as missing or abducted children -- and assisting
those that do not necessarily have the resources to hire a private investigator or similar outside, specialized services.
I'm,
also, available to consult with attorneys, private investigators, security professionals and members of the public regarding
complex investigations and security issues. I will conduct these consultations in person or via telephone -- whichever
the client prefers. Fees for this service are negotiable.
I
plan to continue with my Blog which will be accessible directly or through a hyperlink in my website. The
Blog will be an opportunity to expand my opinions on a whole host of subjects involving law enforcement, judicial process,
investigations, crime, and security consulting – as well as to interact with the public and other professionals. Do I consider myself an expert?
I’m not really sure. I will try not to presume too much. Nonetheless, I
would like to remain relevant in my profession, and plan to draw upon my years of experience, education and training to assist
others. Additionally, I hope to make the material presented in my website and Blog both beneficial and
entertaining. I plan to use my website to write ‘whitepapers’ on various
subjects. Said ‘whitepapers’ will be essays designed to inform the public, perhaps even other
professionals, about topics in which they may hold an interest. Most of these ‘whitepapers’
will be free. Some, if they involve extended and laborious research, might require a charge.
And, in regard to subject matter for those informational essays, I will accept recommendations and will consider very
carefully whether or not they would be suitable for this venue. I will also accept, from time to time,
private projects / research, reporting and analysis projects specified by others.
My immediate motivation is to do something worthwhile that keeps me engaged, studying and researching, and
interacting with others. I do not plan to take more routine investigative assignments. However, I am able to refer
potential or returning clients to very competent and honest colleagues (licensed and insured professional investigators) capable
of handling all manner of investigations. My role will be, principally, to act as an advisor to potential clients in
how to accomplish a project in a professional and cost efficient manner -- hopefully, saving the client time and money.
